Handsome pair of mid-20th century hand-hammered brass baluster vases, each approximately 15 inches tall with gracefully flared rims and applied twisted-rope collars suspending cast tasseled cords-a decorative motif strongly associated with Italian hand-wrought brass workshops of the period. Unmarked, with paper label remnants on the undersides. Rich aged patina, oxidation, scattered scratches and dings throughout; no major damage. A handsome near-matching pair with subtle hammer variations.
