Sculpted in dimensional high-relief by acclaimed American artist Herman L. Deaton, this 1979 hand-painted cold cast bronze collector plate captures the timeless Aesop fable "The Fox and the Grapes." Issued by Creative World as No. 1670 of a limited edition of 9,750, the 8.5-inch plate bears Deaton's molded signature and titled lower border. Polychrome finish remains intact with minor wear; some dust and discoloration to the sky field. Reverse plaque legible. A handsome decorative piece.
